Stock preparation

Grubbens stainless pulper, batch operation, 10 m³ capacity, 6% consistency.

Pulper: dump chest, stainless with side entry Voith agitator model MA 1450.

Solvo broke pulper with bottom mounted rotor and top V belt drive, stainless tub, 5 m³ capacity.

Two Voith model 1R steep angle refiners, drive via gearbox, motor 250 kw, 1485 rpm.

Sunds DD refine, 900 gearbox and ASEA 506 kw 760 rpm motor.

Three Esher Wyess DSR 1 H.D. cleaners, motor driven impellors.

Paper machine

Paper machine of Voith / Dorries manufacture, 2580 mm deckle, speed 450 m/min, 40 to 160 gsm (printing and writing papers, including high quality coloured papers including artist papers, speciality printing paper for pharmaceutical packaging), capacity: 145 TPD. Drive is on the left from flowbox.

Wire section

Voith flowbox 1988 manufacture, speed running 600m/min, pressure operation.

Wire section is cantilevered, stainless frame with some parts from original supply. Suction couch on A/f bearings. Wire is 24.85m in length and 3000 mm wide.

Press section

First press with suction pick up, second with Kuster roll, third is a plain press and the fourth is a smoothing press.

Dryer section

First section: 19 drying cylinders 1500mm diameter, A/F bearings, pressure 3.5 bar. Totally enclosed hood by Luvent and with Grewin pocket ventilation system.

Size Press

Voith/Dorries horizontal design, pneumatic loaded with end dams.

After Dryers

9 cylinders operating seven bar pressure, A/F bearings, and one cooling cylinder.

Pressure 7 bars. All dryers have 199 pocket ventilation systems.

Calendar

1991 Hunt and Moscrop tandem two roll nip soft calendar.

Measurex scanner, year 2002, measuring ash, gsm and calliper. Colour head is not working.

Machine drive is a sectional electric thyristor  drive. Control is by ABB master.

Cylinders have open gear drive with C.I. and Polypemco gears.

Rewinder

Goebel U16H, year 1975, No. 7481, hydraulic operation, 160mm to 3000mm width, speed 1200 m/min., diameter 1500mm, shaft unwind and shaftless rewind, 19 slitters, roll ejector and lowering table.
