pick up roll with three straight through presses. 1st press is a
double felted transfer press with load of 275 pli, 2nd press is top
granite roll with a bottom roll suction and 365 pli and 3rd press is
top granite and bottom Beloit Venta-nip roll with loading 450 pli. Dryer
sections Total of
56 drying cylinders with a diameter of 1524 mm with one drive section and two
felt sections. Total of four felt dryer felts. Steam pressure 30 psi on primary
and 125 psi for re circulation supply, dryers bolted ends and steam pressure
could be increased subject to testing, four steam sections for drying with
Johnnson steam heads with rotating syphons. Measurex moisture control water
shower mounted under dryer number 7, four hood exhaust fans with three pocket
ventilation blowers. Drying rate 3.3 based on 32 lb sheet running 2700 fpm. Calender:
Single calender with six rolls, bottom roll being a Beloit CC roll with water
temperature control on the intermediate rolls. Maximum load 438 pli. Measurex
caliper control Caltrol mounted on the C roll. Scanner:
Measurex model 2002 scanner measuring basis weight, caliper, moisture,
brightness, thermatrol, caltrol and moistrol actuators Reel up:
Horizontal reel up with a grooved water cooled drum. Machine drive is in sections by electric motors and gearboxes. Each drive with individual control. General Electric analog drive system
from power supplied by DC drive systems. Rewinder:
Cameron rewinder model 103 twin drum and single drive motor, rider roll
programming and load cell tension control with regenerative drive driven by
electric motor, 1996 rebiuld with Tidland vertical slitter section, 13 slitters
with an electrical drive. Rewinder has single motor drive with gearbox. Reliance
digital control up grade with automax 111 system. Rewind diameter 1524 mm. Overhead
cranes: Capacity 25 and 50 ton.
